Summary
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the Wistron Infocomm (Texas) facility. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that offices, production areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces meet cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The Janitor will work independently or as part of the facilities maintenance team to support daily cleaning schedules and assist in facility-related tasks that contribute to a productive and healthy workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform routine cleaning of offices, meeting rooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and other designated areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors; dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and replenishment of paper and soap supplies.
- Empty trash, recycling, and confidential disposal bins, ensuring proper waste segregation.
- Wash windows, glass doors, and partitions as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in production and warehouse areas in accordance with safety and 5S standards.
- Clean breakrooms, coffee stations, and food service areas daily.
- Assist with cleaning of spillages, debris, and other workplace incidents promptly and safely.
- Support special cleaning needs during production shutdowns, facility inspections, or events.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and buffers.
- Monitor inventory of janitorial supplies and report restocking needs to the Facilities or Purchasing Department.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning materials and chemicals per safety and environmental regulations.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including PPE usage and chemical handling procedures.
- Report maintenance or safety issues (e.g., leaks, electrical hazards, damaged fixtures) to the Facilities Supervisor.
- Support compliance with OSHA, ISO, and internal facility standards.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure facility cleanliness does not disrupt production or office operations.
- Assist the Facilities team with small maintenance or setup tasks (e.g., moving furniture, setting up meeting rooms).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the facility management function.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year of experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment operation.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts or weekends as needed for production support.

Onsite position at Wistron Infocomm (Texas) Corporation, Alliance, TX. Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and use of cleaning equipment. Exposure to cleaning chemicals, machinery noise, and temperature variations in production areas. Work may involve early morning, evening, or weekend shifts depending on operational needs.
