The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of facility maintenance, building systems support, custodial operations, contractor activities, and overall site readiness for the Fort Worth Magnetics facility. This position provides direct supervision of Facilities Technicians and Custodians while supporting the Facilities & Maintenance Manager in executing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, facility improvement initiatives, and service requests.
The Facilities Supervisor ensures facility assets, building infrastructure, and support systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and reliably while coordinating closely with Operations, Engineering, Production, EHS, Quality, and external contractors. This role requires strong leadership, mechanical aptitude, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.
Position Responsibilities:- Lead the daily execution of facility maintenance, custodial operations, and contractor activities across the Fort Worth Magnetics campus.
- Supervise Facilities Technicians and Custodians, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Work with the maintenance planner to prioritize, assign, and monitor preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, and facility service requests.
- Support maintenance of HVAC systems, chillers, compressed air systems, boilers, plumbing, lighting, building infrastructure, and general utilities.
- Provide hands-on support for mechanical troubleshooting, plumbing repairs, building repairs, and minor electrical troubleshooting when required.
- Coordinate contractor activities including work scopes, scheduling, permits, site access, and quality verification.
- Ensure accurate work documentation within SAP, including labor, materials, findings, and completion notes.
- Support 5S initiatives, housekeeping standards, and inspection readiness throughout the facility.
- Promote safe work practices including Lockout/Tagout, PPE compliance, contractor safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify recurring facility issues and recommend long-term corrective actions and reliability improvements.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Facilities Technicians and Custodians while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 10+ years of industrial facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance experience.
- 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, compressed air, plumbing, boilers, and general building infrastructure.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge and safe work practices.
- Experience coordinating contractors and external service providers.
- Experience using SAP, SAP Fiori, or another CMMS.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
