Role Overview
Maintenance Technician I supports the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Standard Meat Company’s facilities, equipment, and building systems through preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. Working under the direction of Maintenance leadership, the role assists in maintaining production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure while ensuring compliance with all food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety standards.
Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Identify and correct equipment issues.
- Operate maintenance tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Ensure work areas remain clean and organized.
- Ability to work in refrigerated production environments.
- Flexibility to respond to changing production schedules.
- Maintain regular attendance and reliability.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Adherence to all company policies and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Training and authorization required before performing work on equipment or building systems.
