Maintenance Manager
The Maintenance Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the NCCO's Fort Worth maintenance and reliability functions to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and leading a high performing maintenance organization that maximizes equipment reliability, supports production objectives, and fosters a culture of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
The Maintenance Manager is accountable for maintenance planning and execution, asset reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, workforce development, contractor management, spare parts administration, capital improvement support, and effective utilization of maintenance resources.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, but is not limited to:
Champion a culture where safety is the highest priority and every employee is accountable for safe work practicesEnsure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, machine guarding, and environmental requirementLead incident investigations, corrective actions, and proactive risk reduction initiativesPromote employee participation in safety observations, audits, and continuous improvement activities- Maintenance and Reliability Leadership
Develop and execute the site's maintenance and reliability strategy aligned with business objectivesLead preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and reliabilityEstablish maintenance priorities based on business criticality, production requirements, and riskEnsure effective planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance workLead root cause failure analysis and implement permanent corrective actions to eliminate recurring failuresDrive continuous improvement of equipment performance through reliability engineering principlesSupport capital projects, equipment installations, commissioning, and lifecycle asset management- Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologiesIdentify and eliminate waste, reduce equipment losses, and improve maintenance efficiencyDevelop standardized maintenance procedures and best practicesUtilize data and key performance indicators (KPI's) to identify trends, prioritize improvements, and measure resultsLead Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement initiatives that increase productivity and operational reliabilityPromote standard work, visual management, and disciplined execution across the maintenance organization- People Leadership and Employee Engagement
Build highly engaged, accountable, and skilled maintenance team through coaching, mentoring, and leadership developmentFoster an environment of trust, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learningEstablish clear expectations, performance goals, and development plans for maintenance personnelConduct regular performance evaluations and provide timely coaching and constructive feedbackPromote cross-training to improve workforce flexibility and organizational resilienceRecognize employee contributions and encourage participation in continuous improvement activitiesDevelop succession plans for key maintenance positions- Maintenance Planning and Asset Management
Develop weekly and monthly maintenance schedules that balance preventive maintenance with production requirementsUtilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment history, and maintenance metricsEnsure preventive maintenance activities are completed on schedule and continuously evaluate their effectivenessEstablish equipment criticality and prioritize maintenance activities based on business riskManage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available while managing inventory cost- Technical Responsibilities
