PM Technician

The PM Technician supports equipment reliability and operational uptime by performing routine preventive maintenance and planned maintenance activities on production equipment and facility systems. This entry-level, hands-on role focuses on inspections, lubrication, cleaning, minor adjustments, and basic component replacement in accordance with established PM schedules and procedures.

The PM Technician works under the direction of senior maintenance staff and supervisors, documents completed work in the CMMS, identifies potential equipment issues, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. This position reports to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager at the Fort Worth, TX facility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment and facility systems using established PM checklists and standard work.
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic condition checks to identify abnormal wear, leaks, vibration, or other potential issues.
  • Perform lubrication, cleaning, tightening, and minor adjustments on equipment components.
  • Replace basic wear items such as filters, belts, guards, and hoses as part of planned maintenance.
  • Accurately complete PM work orders and inspection records in the CMMS.
  • Report findings, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities to maintenance leadership.
  • Stage tools, parts, and materials required for planned maintenance activities.
  • Assist maintenance technicians during planned maintenance shutdowns or scheduled work.
  • Maintain organized work areas and support 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements.
  • Participate in training to develop mechanical skills and maintenance knowledge.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial maintenance or manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, procedures, and maintenance checklists.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to enter work order information electronically.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, or weekends as required.

Desired Qualities:

  • Previous exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environments.
  • Prior experience performing lubrication, inspections, or basic maintenance tasks.
  • Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused with strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced maintenance roles.
