Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Meyer Utility Structures is currently looking to hire a Tool Room Attendant for our 2nd Shift. As a Tool Room Attendant you’ll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks. You’ll determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, carpentry, electrical fixtures and switches, power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

With over sixty years of innovative engineering and manufacturing expertise, Meyer has helped to author and validate many of today’s transmission industry standards and specifications.
Schedule
- Mon-Fri 4pm-2:30am with occasional Saturdays as needed.
- Locate and check out tools as requested
- Maintain tools and equipment ready-for-use
- Coordinate tool maintenance and repair
- Receive, store, and deliver materials or parts
- Complete physical inventory
- Issue, receive, and store hand tools and other equipment
- Keep an inventory of consumable production parts and tools
- Track usage and prepare orders for new parts or materials as needed
- Maintain records of service/work orders
- Inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects, and order new equipment when needed
- Maintain records of tool use
- May perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on hand-tools, small motors and equipment
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- The ability to operate computer system at appropriate level
- The ability to operate a forklift
