Facilities Maintenance Technician

The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports daily facility operations by performing minor forklift repairs, HVAC maintenance, and general building maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining office spaces, common areas, and support facilities through preventive maintenance and timely repairs while minimizing disruption to production. The technician ensures compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and site requirements while maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor forklift repairs, preventive maintenance, and basic HVAC maintenance.
• Complete painting, plumbing, carpentry, and interior/exterior building repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests and facility emergencies in a timely manner.
• Maintain offices, common areas, and support rooms to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
• Document maintenance activities, inspections, and completed work orders.
• Support facility inspections, emergency preparedness, and compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of forklift repair, HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot facility issues, and respond to emergencies.
• Strong documentation, communication, and vendor coordination skills.
• Working knowledge of workplace safety practices, building codes, and manufacturing facility requirements.
