Director of Maintenance

St. Patrick's Manor seeks a Director of Maintenance to lead all facility operations for our Catholic, not-for-profit senior care community in Framingham, MA. This role oversees building systems, life-safety equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, comfortable, and regulatory-compliant environment for residents and staff. The Director manages a maintenance team, coordinates vendors, and drives preventive maintenance, repairs, and capital projects. Working collaboratively across departments, this leader supports our mission of compassionate, resident-centered, faith-based care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all maintenance operations for a senior care campus, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, grounds, and life-safety systems.
• Supervise, schedule, and mentor maintenance staff; coordinate external contractors and vendors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare, safety, building, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Manage maintenance budgets, purchasing, and inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Respond promptly to work orders, urgent repairs, and facility emergencies, prioritizing resident safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with nursing, housekeeping, and administration to support resident-centered care through timely facility support.
• Plan and oversee renovations, upgrades, and capital projects to maintain and improve the physical plant.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, permits, and regulatory documentation.
• Promote a culture of stewardship, accountability, and respect consistent with the Catholic mission of St. Patrick's Manor.
