Mainfreight Americas is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Team in Franklin Park, IL. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting timely payment processes, and helping to ensure strong vendor relationships.

• Process high-volume vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
• Reconcile national, large accounts with invoices throughout the country
• Manage payment runs, including ACH and check processing
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
• Maintain accounts payable files and records
• Assist with month-end closing, reporting tasks, and the external audit
• Collaborate across departments to support financial accuracy and efficiency

• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (but not required)
