Job DescriptionThe Parts Specialist has a key role in our organization, responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of National Lift Truck’s parts department. This position requires strong technical knowledge of equipment components, exceptional customer service skills, and a focus on efficient parts management.
Duties & Responsibilities- Receive and process parts orders from both internal and external customers on the phone, through help desk software, email, and at the counter.
- Conduct research, read catalogs, manuals, and computer displays to determine correct replacement parts for our rental fleet and customer needs.
- Maintain extensive phone and email contact with vendors, customers, and technicians to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Pick parts and supplies to fill customer and technician orders.
- Process returns from customers and technicians.
- Check on back-ordered parts and communicate status accordingly to expedite orders.
- Participate in parts department inventory management.
- Any, and all duties assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with material handling equipment is preferred but not required.
- Must be comfortable working both independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office, and ERP software (Irium is a plus).
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization and time management skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in parts management is a plus.
- Office and warehouse/shop setting
- Frequent walking in the shop and offices.
