Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Our client, a growing and financially strong manufacturing organization, is seeking an FP&A Manager to lead financial planning, operational analysis, and business decision support across the organization. This highly visible position partners closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to provide meaningful financial insights that improve profitability and support strategic growth.

The FP&A Manager will oversee budgeting, forecasting, operational reporting, capital investment analysis, and financial modeling while managing a small team of finance professionals. This individual will serve as a trusted business partner to manufacturing leadership, utilizing advanced analytics, business intelligence tools, and AI-powered automation to improve reporting efficiency and support data-driven decision making.

• Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes
• Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to provide financial guidance and strategic decision support
• Analyze manufacturing performance, production costs, labor efficiencies, inventory, and operational KPIs
• Support cost accounting activities including standard costing, inventory analysis, manufacturing variances, and margin reporting
• Prepare monthly financial packages, variance analysis, dashboards, and executive presentations
• Evaluate and monitor capital expenditures (CAPEX), ROI analyses, and investment business cases
• Develop financial models supporting strategic initiatives and operational improvements
• Lead and mentor a small FP&A team while fostering collaboration and professional development
• Improve financial reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build interactive dashboards utilizing Power BI to provide meaningful business insights
• Leverage AI tools including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies to automate reporting, streamline workflows, and improve productivity
• Collaborate with Accounting during month-end close and ensure consistency between financial reporting and planning activities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive Finance and FP&A experience within a manufacturing environment
• Prior leadership experience managing or mentoring a small team
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing operations
• Experience supporting capital investment planning and CAPEX analysis
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, and financial modeling
• Experience utilizing AI tools to improve financial analysis, reporting, and process automation
• Strong analytical, communication, and business partnering skills
• Ability to influence cross-functional leaders and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
