Description:
Toppan is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Production Scheduler / Procurement Manager to oversee production planning, scheduling, and strategic sourcing activities. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal production flow, material availability, and supplier performance to meet customer demands, quality standards, and cost objectives. The ideal candidate will bridge operations and supply chain functions, driving efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll be doing :
Production Scheduling & Planning Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, capacity, and material availability
Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, logistic, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery and efficient workflow
Optimize machine and labor utilization while minimizing changeovers and downtime
Monitor production progress and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks
Adjust schedules in response to demand changes, supply constraints, or operational issues
Procurement & Supply Chain Management Manage end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of raw materials, components, and supplies
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliable delivery
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with corporate procurement to support operational and financial targets
Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed
Identify and qualify alternative suppliers to mitigate risk and ensure supply continuity
Inventory & Materials Management Ensure optimal inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess and obsolescence
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to maintain accurate inventory records and material flow Implement inventory control strategies, including safety stock and reorder points
Cross-Functional Coordination Act as a liaison between sales, production, procurement, and logistics teams
Support demand planning and S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes
Provide regular updates on production status, risks, and mitigation plans
Continuous Improvement & Reporting Analyze production and procurement metrics (OTD, inventory turns, supplier performance, etc.)Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains
Lead or participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership review.

Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field5+ years of experience in production scheduling, procurement, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment
Experience in printing, packaging, or industrial manufacturing preferred
Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of production planning, MRP/ERP systems (IQMS, Oracle, etc.)Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar
Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
Familiarity with demand planning and forecasting processes
