Overview
Description
The Warehouse Supervisor will combine strong team leadership skills with an eye for process improvement to drive productivity, employee accountability, and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment. They will be responsible for workflow optimization, inventory accuracy, and supervision of the Shipping & Receiving team.
Accountable For:
- Leading and developing the Shipping & Receiving team through assigning daily work, documenting and maintaining work instructions, delivering ongoing training, and tracking departmental KPIs.
- Processing all inbound and outbound material and inventory accurately and within required time frames to prevent damage while maintaining time and cost efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate quantities and locations of inventory, creating departmental efficiency and protection of assets.
- Preparing and staging inventory for work-in-process jobs.
- Supervising and performing all tasks safely and without accidents.
- Education /
Work Experience:
High school diploma / GED. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in shipping & receiving, general warehousing, hazardous material handling, and employee supervision. Manufacturing experience is a plus - Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Fed Ex and UPS software; ERP system experience is a plus.
- Experience and comfort with basic hand/power tools; ability to read blueprints is a plus.
- Working knowledge of shop math and the ability to use measuring tools.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
