Mechanical Assembly Technician - (Temporary)
Position Overview
We are seeking two (2) skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technicians for an exclusive, short-term project assembling high-end, luxury golf carts. These premium vehicles arrive in crates and require complete mechanical and basic electrical assembly. If you are mechanically inclined, great with your hands, and take pride in precision work, this is an excellent opportunity to earn great pay with overtime potential.
- Pay Rate: $25.00 / hour
- Position Type: Temporary (5-6 Weeks)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Plus exciting overtime opportunities)
- Location: Franklin Park, Illinois
- Unboxing & Inspection: Carefully uncrate high-end golf carts and inventory all parts and components.
- Mechanical Assembly: Assemble structural components, chassis parts, body panels, and premium seating according to manufacturer specifications.
- Electrical Wiring: Connect basic electrical wiring harnesses, battery systems, and electronic accessories.
- Tool Operation: Safely and effectively utilize a variety of hand and power tools.
- Quality Assurance: Perform final inspections to ensure all components are securely fastened, aligned, and functioning perfectly to meet luxury standards.
- Workspace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Proven experience in mechanical assembly, automotive repair, or a related hands-on trade.
- Tool Proficiency: Strong experience working with standard hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches.
- Attention to Detail: Because these are high-end, luxury carts, a sharp eye for cosmetic and structural perfection is required.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions, diagrams, and schematics.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability: Dependable transportation and a strong commitment to punctuality for the entire 5-6 week duration.
