Maintenance Mechanic

Our client who is a leading manufacturer is seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic position in the Franklin Park, Illinois area.

This is a direct hire opportunity on night shift. Hours will be: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12‑hour rotating schedule: 3 days on, 2 off, 4 on, 2 off. Pay range: $33–$36 per hour. The Maintenance Technician/Mechanic position involves maintaining and repairing molding machines and auxiliary equipment. The role focuses on both preventative and reactive maintenance while supporting production efficiency, safety standards, and quality goals.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Identify and respond to equipment malfunctions promptly
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
• Maintain accurate maintenance and equipment records
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental protocols
• Support 5S initiatives and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Communicate effectively with other departments
• Available to work different shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or apprenticeship preferred
• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and operating forklifts
• Reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
