Scot Forge is an employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings used in demanding applications all over the world.

We have locations in Franklin Park, IL, Spring Grove, IL, and Clinton, WI.

A hair follicle drug screen, lifting test up to 65 lbs. and background check are required pre-employment.

Scot Forge has a fully paid customized training program for CNC machining, set ups and programming for the right candidate.

Areas of Focus
  • Operate, set up and program CNC machinery.
  • Using gauges – micrometers or calipers.
  • Driving Forklift.
  • Actively participate in safe work practices.
Essential Functions
  • Set up equipment, install tools and fixtures. Monitor entire run due to unique forgings.
  • Edit G and M codes and program machine (training provided as needed – experience preferred).
  • Load material into machine utilizing overhead crane to ensure safe machining on forgings up to 3,000 lbs.
  • Monitoring CNC machines/ lathes / mills / saws. Check parts throughout, make adjustments to conform to specifications.
  • Verify blueprint and dimensions. Visually inspect, layout and prepare materials as required.
  • Identify forgings and material type. Read and understand entire part routing.
  • Check parts throughout run and make adjustments. Examine material visually for flaws, defects and clean up.
  • Calculate chain and strap adjustments to ensure the safe lifting and transporting of parts.
  • Prior to loading part, identify forgings, material type, and verify blueprint and dimensions. Examine material visually for flaws, defects and clean‑up.
  • Actively participate in safety program to ensure the continued success of the program.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Strong math and computer skills
  • Hand tools
Preferred Skills
  • Use of micrometer, caliper and tape measure
  • Machine set up and operation or programming
  • Crane rigging and operation
  • Prior manufacturing experience
