Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Develop, review, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and control plans.
  • Ensure document control and record retention requirements are met.
  • Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Develop and implement inspection methods for fabricated, welded, machined, and assembled products.
  • Review customer drawings, specifications, contracts, and quality requirements.
  • Establish acceptance criteria and inspection standards.
  • Monitor production quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and production part approvals.
  • Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects focused on scrap reduction, process capability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve quality performance.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, welding symbols, and fabrication specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable welding codes and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with fabrication personnel to improve process consistency and product quality.
  • Serve as a quality liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Investigate customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Support supplier qualification, audits, and performance evaluations.
  • Review supplier quality documentation and inspection reports.
  • Participate in customer quality meetings and audits as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and fabrication industry experience will be considered
  • 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a fabrication, metal manufacturing, welding, or industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting fabricated weldments, sheet metal, structural steel, or custom manufacturing operations
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies
