This individual contributor role is ideal for someone with deep experience in the design space, a passion for cultivating long‑term client relationships, and a strong track record of expanding engagement within an existing book of business.

About Farrow & Ball

Farrow & Ball is a luxury British lifestyle brand that prides itself in creating richly pigmented paint and handcrafted wallpaper, using print methods dating back 300 years and the finest quality ingredients. The unique Farrow & Ball look transforms modern and traditional homes, large and small, inside and out. Established in Dorset in 1946, we have grown over the last 80 years and now proudly have 60 showrooms worldwide with a global network of stockists.

The key to our success is the people behind the paint: from the team handcrafting each tin to showroom staff to support functions, our shared passion ensures customers have a positive, engaging experience at every stage of their journey with us.

What we expect from you as an A&D Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of designer and architect accounts within a defined territory, focusing on relationship‑building and increasing engagement.
  • Support existing clients through regular in‑person visits, virtual meetings, product training, events, and CEU presentations.
  • Ensure accounts have up‑to‑date access to colour tools, samples, and brand resources to drive ongoing specification and brand loyalty.
  • Expand share of wallet by uncovering new projects, specification opportunities, or cross‑category needs within current accounts.
  • Reactivate dormant clients and reengage lightly active designers through thoughtful, personalized outreach.
  • Achieve sales activity benchmarks and contribute to quarterly revenue goals for the North America Team.
  • Represent Farrow & Ball at trade shows, showroom activations, and local market events to support brand awareness and client retention.
  • Act as a knowledgeable, solutions‑oriented brand ambassador—providing product education, sampling guidance, and project support.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of A&D Sales on territory strategy, performance reporting, and the development of local business plans.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing to execute client‑facing campaigns, event activations, and targeted communications.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of client engagement, project pipelines, and sampling activity to support visibility and reporting.
Key Attributes
  • Significant experience in A&D sales or an adjacent premium B2B category (e.g., furnishings, textiles, surfaces, or architectural finishes).
  • Strong understanding of the interior design process, including sampling, specification, and project timelines.
  • Proven success in managing and growing an account portfolio with a focus on retention and client engagement.
  • Experience owning a territory and balancing proactive outreach with relationship nurturing and follow‑up.
  • High level of independence, initiative, and problem‑solving ability.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory and attend industry events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • CRM proficiency for tracking activity and managing pipelines (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot, or equivalent).
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner across Sales, Marketing, 3rd Party Partners and Showroom teams.
