Inside Sales Representative – Franklin Park, IllinoisWe are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-driven Inside Sales Representative who takes pride in getting things right the first time. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technical detail, supporting customers with care, and ensuring accuracy in every quote, order, and interaction.
You will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive not just a fast response—but the right solution.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Interaction & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone and email
- Build long-term relationships through attentive, responsive, and solution-focused communication
- Understand customer needs in detail and ensure every request is handled thoroughly
- Quoting & Order Management
- Prepare accurate quotes based on customer specifications and product requirements
- Carefully review customer requirements to ensure completeness and correctness
- Process customer orders in ERP/CRM system
- Follow up on open quotes to increase conversion rates
- Coordinate pricing, lead times, and availability with internal teams
- Technical Support
- Provide basic technical support for electrical products (transformers, power supplies, industrial components, etc.)
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and applications
- Collaborate with engineering or product specialists when needed
- Guide customers toward the most suitable solution for their application
- Sales Support & Growth
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
- Proactively reach out to customers to generate new business
- Support the outside sales team by following up on leads
- Support marketing and sales initiatives (campaigns, promotions, new product launches)
- Maintain and update customer records in CRM system
- Required
- 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or technical sales experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Preferred but not required
- Electrical background (e.g., electrical technology, engineering, industrial distribution)
- Experience with electrical components, transformers, or industrial automation products
- Experience using ERP and/or CRM systems (SAP, Epicor, Salesforce, etc.)
- Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial distribution environment
