Laboratory Sampler

Overview

We are SGS - the world's leading testing, inspection and certification company. Our Dayton, NJ laboratory is seeking an entry‑level Lab Technician I to join the Extractions team. The Lab Technician I will prepare samples with accuracy and precision in accordance with SGS' analytical SOPs and work independently or as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

• Prepare samples for analysis according to SGS' analytical SOPs after appropriate training.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of prep instruments and equipment.
• Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory functions and operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Always follow safe laboratory practices and maintain a safe working environment.

• High school diploma (required).
• 0–2 years of experience in analytical chemistry laboratories or prior hands‑on experience (required).
• Associate's degree in chemistry or similar scientific discipline (preferred).
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry laboratories (preferred).
• English language proficiency (required).

• Basic computer skills for data entry and laboratory software use.

• USD 21–22 per hour.
