Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems and demonstrate proficiency in performing diagnostics and repairs. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining the operational efficiency of our equipment.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough diagnostics on a variety of equipment to identify both electrical and mechanical issues.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of standard electrical components, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production efficiency.
- Work with 110–480‑volt systems, including higher voltage equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems and ensure proper functioning of control boards.
- Disassemble and reassemble mechanical components such as gearboxes, cylinders, pumps, and valves.
- Repair or replace worn or defective parts to maintain equipment reliability.
- Detect minor equipment problems early and address them before they become major issues.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and any issues encountered.
- Install new equipment following manual instructions and ensure proper setup and integration into existing systems.
- Install wiring systems for power and control boards, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motors, starters, relays, and drives.
- Ensure all motor and drive systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Perform welding and machining tasks as needed for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ensure all welding and machining work meets safety and quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification.
- Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems (110–480 volts) and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing PLC systems.
- Skilled in welding and machining.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
