Social Worker Substitute
Leyden High School District 212 is seeking a Social Worker Substitute to support students at East and/or West Leyden High School for the entire first semester of (August 10 -- December 18, 2026). The Social Worker Substitute provides school social work services, consultation, crisis support, family outreach, and collaboration with school personnel and community agencies to help reduce barriers that may impact students' academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
Responsibilities may include providing individual and group counseling, supporting students through crisis intervention and short-term problem solving, participating in IEP/504, MTSS, re-entry, threat/risk assessment, and student support meetings, documenting services and progress, collaborating with staff and families, and connecting students and families with appropriate school and community resources. Qualified candidates must hold a master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and a current, valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a School Support Personnel endorsement in School Social Work.
This position is paid by days worked. The daily rate is $345 per day.
