Shipco Transport Inc. is a leading international cargo transportation company operating globally. We are recruiting an experienced LCL Import Operations Coordinator for our CHI branch located in Franklin Park, IL.

We look for a proactive, dynamic, highly motivated professional who can work collaboratively across time zones and regions, thinking outside the box and managing complex import operations.

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience with LCL ocean import consolidations and operations (preferably from an NVOCC background); VOCC or freight forwarder experience also acceptable.
• Knowledge of all aspects of LCL ocean import cargo receiving, container load plan and stowage, equipment procurement, verification of marks, numbers, piece counts, destinations, hazardous information, and freight discrepancies.
• Proficiency in customer service and documentation (bills of lading, dock receipts, manifests).
• Review, process, and send revised arrival notices when a manifest discrepancy report has been filed with the customer.
• Provide outturn reports, OS & D resolution.
• Handle door delivery and Customs clearance procedures.
• Execute CFS tasks if needed, including CFS manifests, segregation, in/out, and charge billing.
• Respond to customer requests regarding cargo diversion.
• Track and trace all inbound containers.
• Monitor exams, hold containers, and arrange billing.
• Manage claims handling.
• Maintain the LAX Ops mailboxes with the team to ensure prompt email processing.
• Hazardous certification preferred.
• Proficient in cargo utilization and loading with aptitude for cost analysis.

• Comprehensive knowledge of LCL operations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent data entry skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and attention to detail; thrives in a fast‑paced, customer‑service‑oriented environment.
• Works under pre‑established guidelines with immediate supervision.
• Reports to the Operations Supervisor.
