Schedule

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM | 4/40 Schedule
  • 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will maintain and improve facility systems, auxiliary equipment, and material-handling equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role will perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and facility repairs while supporting preventive maintenance and minimizing equipment downtime. The technician will work closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and outside contractors.

Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance or equivalent manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant certification, or Type 2 or Type 3 certification; certification may be obtained within the first 30 days.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experience troubleshooting 24 VDC discrete I/O.
  • Preventive maintenance experience.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work the assigned 2nd or 3rd shift schedule.
Preferred

Skills & Qualifications
  • Facility maintenance experience.
  • Experience maintaining building systems and grounds.
  • Predictive maintenance experience.
  • CMMS experience, preferably MP2.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with outside contractors.
  • Additional HVAC/refrigeration experience or certifications.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair auxiliary equipment, including PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, 24 VDC controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance activities.
  • Repair and improve facility systems, building structures, and grounds.
  • Maintain material‑handling and auxiliary equipment to support production.
  • Document completed repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and outside contractors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all required PPE and safety procedures.
  • Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, and work in confined or difficult positions.
  • Regularly use hand tools.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, dust, oils, machinery, and other industrial conditions.
  • Wear required PPE without exception.
