Building Maintenance Tech

Arbors Management Inc. is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Tech to support our apartment communities and affordable housing properties across Western Pennsylvania. In this hands-on role, you will perform routine and emergency maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and unit turnover work. You will complete work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance to keep buildings safe, clean, and operating efficiently. Working closely with property managers and residents, you'll provide timely, professional service that reflects our resident-focused, service-oriented culture.

This position is field-based at managed properties and offers opportunities for growth within a stable, regional property management company.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance for residential and common areas across assigned properties
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues
• Complete work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance on schedule
• Ensure building systems, grounds, and common spaces are clean, safe, and compliant with standards
• Coordinate with property managers, vendors, and contractors for specialized repairs
• Provide timely, courteous service to residents and communicate repair status clearly
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies inventory
• Follow safety procedures, building codes, and company maintenance policies
• Assist with unit turnovers, including painting, repairs, and fixture replacement
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies as needed
