PurposeThe Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance duties for the hospital. The Maintenance Technician will ensure the facility and property are clean, safe, secure, and functioning at optimum efficiency. This is an intermediate level role within the Plant Operations Department. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for completing assigned safety checks and adhering to all safety regulations and practices. The Maintenance Technician will assist with performing testing, inspection, implementation and maintenance of equipment, systems, and structures.
Performs assigned preventative maintenance on equipment (i.e., compressors, exhaust fans, air handlers, vents, fan coil units, water coolers, refrigerators, ice machines, etc.) in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Performs minor repairs and replacements, including replacing light bulbs and fire extinguishers, as requested/necessary. Other duties assigned by management team.
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm; on call every other weekend
Qualifications Education/Training- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current Tennessee Driver’s License
- At least one year experience in maintenance duties, preferably in a hospital or other institutional setting.
