Maintenance Assistant

This position requires personal contact with residents, a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations. You must be able to work as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision.

• Maintenance of institutional equipment, heavy duty cleaning, light grounds care.
• Keep records of work performed.
• Coordinate work with other departments so as not to interrupt patient care or normal business functions.
• Able to be on call for emergencies.
• Perform or direct duties concerned with maintenance of grounds, parking lots, driveways, etc., including gardening, landscaping, cleaning, snow removal, except those performed under service contract.

• Maintenance experience preferred, not required.
• H‑VAC experience preferred, not required.
• High school graduate or graduate of a technical school.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals; knowledge of local codes and ordinances and safety regulations.
