Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and weld structural steel components (frameworks, supports, platforms, equipment bases) using MIG, TIG, or Stick (SMAW) processes.
  • Perform high‑quality pipe welding and fabrication for hydronic systems (preferred experience with ASME B31.1 or B31.3).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, welding symbols, and specifications to ensure accurate layout, fit‑up, and assembly.
  • Cut, bevel, fit, and assemble pipe and structural members using torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic non‑destructive testing to meet AWS, ASME, and project quality standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, safe work environment.
  • Follow all shop safety policies and procedures, use PPE, and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Collaborate with pipe fitters, mechanics, foremen, and production team to meet deadlines and quality requirements.
