Job Summary

As a Painter in Senior Living, you will play a vital role in maintaining a visually appealing and comfortable environment for our senior residents. Your primary responsibility will be to execute painting tasks with precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety guidelines, contributing to the overall well‑being and satisfaction of senior residents.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute painting projects efficiently and effectively, including walls, ceilings, doors, trims, and other surfaces.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, and priming to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Assist in selecting appropriate colors and materials based on resident preferences and existing decor.
  • Identify and address maintenance issues such as cracks, holes, or water damage to provide durable paint jobs.
  • Follow safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of paints, solvents, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff, supervisors, and other departments to schedule and plan projects, minimizing disruption to residents.
  • Perform regular maintenance on painting tools and equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of paint colors, quantities used, and other details for future touch‑ups.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure high‑quality standards and perform necessary touch‑ups.
  • Interact courteously with senior residents, addressing their concerns and providing exceptional service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Previous professional painter experience, preferably in residential or senior living settings.
  • Solid knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Familiarity with color schemes and design principles.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to painting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks involving standing, bending, and lifting.
