Mechanic IV – Biomedical Engineering Department

Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Mechanic IV to support the Biomedical Engineering Department.

• Perform general repairs, preventive maintenance, and new equipment installation on hospital buildings, beds, stretchers, WOW carts, and other Biomedical equipment.
• Use mechanical and electrical testing equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Collaborate with the Biomedical Engineering team to ensure all equipment meets safety and performance standards.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five years of general mechanic experience.
• Experience in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Full‑time, 40 hrs/week, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Day shift; no weekend work.

Hourly rate: $23.25 – $32.55 per hour.
