The City of Fredericksburg is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Part Time – Seasonal Park Operations Worker. If you enjoy working outdoors and contributing to the beautification of our community, we want to hear from you!

Grounds Maintenance Performing semi-skilled tasks related to grounds keeping in parks and public facilities, including mowing and landscaping. Equipment Operation Operate various hand and power equipment, as well as delivering and setting up equipment for City events and programs.

Custodial Duties Perform custodial tasks and complete necessary paperwork, such as work orders and daily reports. Emergency Response Assist with clean-up operations for storm debris when required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Virginia Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, some evenings, and fluctuating shifts based on park needs and scheduled events.
• Criminal background and driving record checks are required.
