Cleaner, Part Time – 1st Shift

The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures.

• Sweep, mop, wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings
• Use light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines, including attachments
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean and shampoo rugs when directed
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces including periodic high dusting
• Wash windowsills; glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior/exterior; spot‑clean interior walls daily as appropriate
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily; perform standard bathroom procedures such as damp‑wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, and stall partitions; sweep, mop, and scrub floors
• Monitor possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, report to supervisors
• Collect building trash daily, place in approved container, and transport to designated collection area; replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed
• Perform periodic work: high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, wall washing
• Other duties as assigned

• No prior experience required; able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a portable backpack vacuum cleaner
• Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, strong organization, and high levels of energy and endurance

The hourly rate will range from $17.00 to $20.00 and is determined by factors such as location, hours worked, and collective bargaining agreement status. The company will not pay less than minimum wage.
