Facilities Technician

Job Summary

Facilities Technician – Day Shift (6am – 2pm, Monday‑Friday) based in Fremont, CA. This fully on‑site role reports to the Senior Manager, Facilities & Real Estate and is responsible for maintaining the reliability and safety of Bloom Energy’s manufacturing facilities.

• Inspect completed work for performance and compliance with local building and safety codes.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety equipment.
• Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and alarm systems.
• Keep detailed records of daily inspections and maintenance activities.
• Paint, patch walls, assist with office moves or furniture repairs, and maintain flooring as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors and outside service providers to execute major repairs or upgrades.
• Prioritize daily activities, manage work orders, and keep management informed of progress and delays.
• Maintain courteous interactions with staff, vendors, and the public, fostering effective relationships.
• Create purchase orders and work requests for materials and supplies following established guidelines.
• Participate in safety training and meetings, consistently using safe work practices.
• Respond to emergencies and request assistance activities as needed.
• Provide reliable transportation between buildings and hold a valid driver’s license.

• 5+ years of proven facilities experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Strong cross‑functional teamwork and multitasking skills.
• Independent problem‑solving and facilities issue resolution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working with minimal oversight.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships.
