Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and take pride in keeping facilities operating efficiently, we encourage you to apply.## Responsibilities
* Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the facility and grounds.
* Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs as needed.
* Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections throughout the building.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
* Maintain equipment, tools, and maintenance supplies in good working condition.
* Assist with room turnovers, furniture assembly, and facility improvement projects.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and facility policies.
* Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment.
* Participate in emergency preparedness and facility safety programs.## Qualifications
* Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, post-acute care, apartment communities, hotels, or commercial facilities preferred.
* Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
* Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required.
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Valid California driver's license preferred.##
