Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

American Swim Academy is hiring a part‑time custodial member for our Fremont location. The custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functioning environment for our members and staff; this includes the interior and exterior of the swim school.

• Friday: 10:30 am – 6:30 pm
• Saturday: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm

• The ability to communicate with members, co‑workers, school management, and Area Staff in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
• The ability to stand for the duration of the shift, up to 8 hours.
• The ability to bend, squat, and reach in order to clean for the duration of the shift, up to 8 hours.
• The ability to lift 0 – 25 pounds.
• The ability to carry out written and oral instructions.
• The ability to arrive on schedule and maintain regular attendance.
• The ability to respond appropriately to direction from a supervisor.
• The ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
• The ability to recognize potential hazards and respond appropriately.
• The ability to meet the physical demands of the cleaning tasks listed, including frequent walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and reaching.
• The ability to use all appropriate cleaning solutions in a safe and approved manner.
• The ability to clean the facility with minimal interruption to members and staff.
• The ability to clean in a busy family environment while being friendly and courteous to members.

• $17 – $19 per hour based on experience.
• Uniform shirt provided, casual dress code.
• 50% discount on swim lessons for family members.
