Maintenance Assistant (Full-Time) Mission Valley Post Acute

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay: Starting at $23.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to support the daily operation and upkeep of our facility. In this role, you will help ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. • Assist with the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of the facility and surrounding grounds.
• Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe and functional environment.
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from residents and team members.
• Maintain maintenance equipment, tools, and supplies in good working order.
• Assist with room turnovers, furniture assembly, and facility improvement projects.
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free workplace.
• Participate in emergency preparedness initiatives and facility safety programs.

• Previous maintenance experience in a healthcare facility, skilled nursing center, post‑acute setting, apartment community, hotel, or commercial property preferred.
• Working knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid California driver's license preferred.
