The Facilities Manager will drive facility maintenance, manage vendors and contractors, oversee facility-related projects, support office moves, and maintain a safe, clean, and functional work environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and monitor building systems to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot facility issues and coordinate repairs with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, including janitorial, landscaping, security, and specialized maintenance providers.
  • Maintain an appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies, equipment, and replacement parts; procure materials as needed.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and equipment audits to identify maintenance needs and ensure operational readiness.
  • Plan and coordinate office moves, space reconfigurations, and facility improvement projects with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Partner with the Director of Operations/Facilities to support capital projects, renovations, and new construction initiatives.
  • Coordinate construction and contractor activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, equipment documentation, and regulatory compliance records.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), OSHA requirements, fire/life safety standards, and company security policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve facility operations, reduce operating costs, and extend the life of building assets.
  • Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
Qualifications Required
  • 6+ years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building automation systems.
  • Understanding of fire/life safety systems, preventive maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and construction drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service agreements.
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, and leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel between company locations, if required.
Desired
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
  • Experience supporting office renovations, tenant improvements, or capital projects.
  • Experience with budgeting, vendor management, and contract administration.
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) certification is a plus.
