Maintenance Assistant – Full-Time | Up to $25/Hour Join the Team at Mission Valley Post Acute Mission Valley Post Acute is hiring a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team full-time.

The Maintenance Assistant helps keep our facility safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained for our residents, families, visitors, and staff. Up to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep throughout the facility.

Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks.

Maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, and outdoor areas.

Inspect equipment, fixtures, and facility areas and report maintenance concerns promptly.

Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.

Assist with preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.

Help ensure the building, grounds, and equipment remain safe and properly maintained.

Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in an organized manner.

Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Support facility safety, fire prevention, and emergency preparedness requirements.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Work closely with the Maintenance Director and facility leadership.

Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Previous maintenance experience preferred.

Experience in skilled nursing, healthcare, apartment, hotel, commercial, or building maintenance is a plus.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Professional communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required.

Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
