The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that all facilities, equipment, and systems are operating safely and efficiently. This role requires hands‑on technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Respond to maintenance requests from staff or residents in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with the setup, repair, and maintenance of furniture, fixtures, and appliances.
- Maintain safe and organized storage of tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and comply with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Document all maintenance work, repairs, and inspections accurately.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and general grounds upkeep as needed.
- Support special projects and facility improvements as directed by management.
- Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
