JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing assistance and leading by example for other maintenance staff. Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Lead by example in training maintenance staff, and ensuring that maintenance techs are performing duties as assigned. Refer performance issues to maintenance supervisor.
- Monitor production areas on an ongoing basis to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as needed.
- Assist with installation of new equipment and modify existing equipment as needed.
- Maintain documentation of all work performed.
- Make corrections, or correct suggestible measures, when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Perform backup duties to other staff as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of electric and mechanical procedures..
- Knowledge of basic math, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and calculating percentages.
- Skill in using hand and power tools.
- Skill in using a personal computer and various software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to operate a forklift and scissors lift.
- Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to consistently practice and enforce safe working habits.
- Ability to recognize safety risks and comply with all safety standards.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems.
- Ability to be a good representative of the Company.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including being on-call and weekends. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma required. Minimum of two years related experience in a maintenance position, with previous Lead work preferred. Must be able to pass a maintenance entrance exam.
