Temporary Custodian

Overview

I.BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Responsible for cleaning and polishing designated site facilities. This includes, but is not limited to floors, stairs, entry ways, walls, doors, glass, offices, latrines, showers and partitions. Responsible for trash removal. Orders and maintains required janitorial equipment and supplies. Maintains written records on material and equipment.

II.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Cleans and polishes designated site facilities to include floors, stairs, entryways, walls, doors, glass, latrines, showers and partitions.

2.Accomplishes trash removal.

3.Orders and maintains janitorial equipment and supplies including administrative documentation.

4.Complies with warning and labels related to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) concerning chemicals used in the process of cleaning.

5.Performs other duties as directed.

III.SUPERVISION:

Supervision Received:
Works under the general supervision of the Civil Engineering Manager. Work is checked for results achieved. Defines own work assignments within specific guidelines.

IV.WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

A.Physical Tasks:

Exerts limited physical energy. Scrubbing, mopping, bending, lifting loads not to exceed 50 pounds, climbing stairs.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment. May work extended hours/shifts or weekends.

C.Security Clearance:

• Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
• Employment and starting date are contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance
