** Temporary Maintenance Assistant
** for a
** 90-day assignment**. This position is ideal for someone experienced in facility maintenance who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.###
** Position Overview
** The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for helping maintain the facility grounds, equipment, and building systems in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.###
** Essential

Duties & Responsibilities
*** Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs
* Maintain facility grounds, parking lots, and outdoor areas through cleaning, trimming, and upkeep
* Replace light bulbs, clean windows/screens, and complete general maintenance tasks
* Assist with servicing heating and cooling systems as directed
* Coordinate maintenance work with nursing staff when working in resident care areas
* Report equipment malfunctions and unsafe conditions promptly
* Ensure maintenance supplies are stocked and equipment is properly stored after use
* Follow all safety precautions and facility procedures when using tools and equipment
* Assist with emergency situations and evacuation procedures if needed
* Maintain confidentiality of resident information and comply with HIPAA guidelines###
** Qualifications
* ** Minimum 10th grade education required
* Previous maintenance or facility experience preferred
* Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently
* Strong communication and teamwork skills###
** Physical Demands
*** Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying
* Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs
* Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed###
** Work Environment
*** Skilled nursing facility setting
* Low to moderate noise level
* Fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with staff and residents
