Repair & Maintenance Technician - Fresno, CA area

Job Summary: The Repair and Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing and/or coordinating repair and maintenance activities for several commercial retail Save Mart Superstores, within an assigned geographical area.

• Monitor, maintain and perform standard repairs and maintenance at several commercial grocery establishments
• Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on-site
• Execute short lead time projects
• Perform preventative maintenance on personal, as well as company owned tools and equipment
• Read, interpret, and implement work orders and schedule
• Acquire material needed to complete repairs/work orders
• Document facilities maintenance requirements and maintains appropriate records of work performed
• Maintain accurate information and records on purchases
• Correctly facilitate and submit all reports, documents and records as requested
• Correctly utilize work order system
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, painting, flooring repairs, drywall repairs, and carpentry work
• Thorough knowledge and experience to safely operate a wide array of hand and power tools
• Must supply and maintain hand tools and power tools to accomplish daily duties
• Excellent Customer Service skills with the ability to work independently, with flexibility, and self-reliance
• Ability to perform under pressure, with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to perform job tasks while following all safety guidelines

Experience: 1 minimum year of related experience

Education: High School or GED and/or related experience/training

• Up to 15% daily travel consisting of driving to and from various locations
• Must be able to work overtime, when needed.
• May lift up to 100 lbs on an occasional basis
• May push and pull up to 30 lbs on an occasional basis
