Warehouse Logistics & Distribution Assistant

Axiom Staffing Group is seeking a Warehouse Logistics & Distribution Assistant for a community-focused, faith-based non-profit in Front Royal, VA. This is a potential temp-to-hire opportunity for an individual who enjoys active, physical work and wants to contribute to a mission-driven organization.

This is a high-energy, physical labor role focused on food pantry logistics. You will be responsible for the heavy lifting of the operation—ensuring that donations are received, processed, and organized efficiently to serve the community.

• Inbound Logistics:
  Assist in the unloading and sorting of bulk food donations from delivery vehicles.
• Inventory Management:
  Transport, stack, and restock heavy pallets and crates of food to maintain an orderly pantry.
• Equipment Operation:
  Use manual pallet jacks, dollies, and carts to move products throughout the facility safely.
• Facility Upkeep:
  Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, including trash/recycling removal and general cleaning to meet health standards.

• Work Ethic:
  Ability to learn workflows quickly and work independently until daily tasks are complete.
• Communication:
  Professional interpersonal skills for collaborating with a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
• Mission Alignment:
  Candidates must be comfortable working within an environment that upholds Catholic social and moral teachings and be willing to represent the organization’s values of service and respect.

• Movement:
  Frequently move, transport, and position items weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Mobility:
  Remain in a stationary position, move throughout the pantry, and position self to reach items on low shelves or high racks (using a ladder when necessary).
• Dexterity:
  Handle and inspect heavy boxes, pallets, and food items.
• Vision/Sensing:
  Detect, identify, and recognize labels, safety hazards, and inventory details.

• Pay Rate: $21.59/hr
• Hours:
  
  Up to 30 hours per week.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Thursday (or Friday). Shifts typically start at 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM and continue until the day's distribution goals are met.
• Status:
  Non-Exempt, Potential Temp-to-Hire.
