Job Overview

This part‑time Housekeeper position includes one weekend day and requires maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in all areas of the community, as directed by the Maintenance Director.

Pay range: $14.50–$16.50 per hour.

• Perform day‑to‑day housekeeping functions with established procedures as assigned.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Clean floors: sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing and disinfecting.
• Clean carpets: vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Clean and polish furnishings, windows, baseboards, and doors to keep them smudge‑free.
• Clean resident rooms: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, sanitizing bathrooms, cleaning mirrors and pictures.
• Collect trash from rooms, offices, lounges, and bathrooms daily.
• Assist in setting up dining room, activity room, and living room as necessary.
• Report needed repairs to maintenance personnel or Executive Director.
• Keep housekeeping equipment, storage areas, janitor’s closets, and carts clean and uncluttered.
• Respond to residents’ needs as requested.
• Handle laundry of community linens as needed.
• Inform Executive Director or designee of all supply needs promptly.
• Report all accidents/incidents and important resident observations to the Executive Director on the day of occurrence.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and honor residents’ personal property rights.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• High school graduate or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience preferred.
