Position Overview
This is a temporary position lasting 9 months or less, offering up to 40 hours per week. The employment start date will be between April–May and September–October. Housing is not provided.
Job Responsibilities- Responsible for general park maintenance and cleaning of public facilities, including restrooms, showers, vault toilets, campsites, picnic areas, trails, and other outdoor spaces.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on State-owned vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure quality customer service, facility maintenance, repair, and cleanliness.
- Provide information and assistance to visitors.
- Assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and the transportation of materials and supplies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a current motor vehicle report.
- Must be willing to work outside during hot and inclement weather.
- Must be able to lift 50–100 pounds repeatedly during the course of a single workday.
- Knowledge of power tools and hand tools preferred.
- Knowledge of small engine and other equipment maintenance and repair preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certifications may be required.
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
