Plant Maintenance Manager

Location: Fuquay Varina, NC |
Schedule: Full-time, on-site

An established manufacturing plant is seeking a Plant Maintenance Manager to oversee all equipment operations and drive process control improvements across the facility. This role is central to ensuring maximum equipment uptime, safety compliance, and operational efficiency.

• Initiate preventive maintenance programs to minimize maintenance costs of all production equipment
• Execute assignments related to maintenance of machinery and equipment
• Oversee relocation of machinery and/or equipment, as well as dismantling and removing obsolete or worn-out machinery and/or equipment
• Plan preventative maintenance activities based on equipment wear history and manufacturer recommendations
• Develop and maintain key supplier relationships and spare parts inventories
• Schedule work to prevent idle time and maximize machine utilization
• Schedule overtime among maintenance employees to ensure fair distribution
• Determine priority of maintenance job backlog and schedule work accordingly
• Upgrade the effectiveness of maintenance personnel through training and development
• Schedule and conduct meetings covering maintenance skills, safety, and company policy
• Handle job-related problems in maintenance fairly and in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Ensure team members receive appropriate safety, health, accident prevention, and investigation training
• Provide leadership in developing measures and practices that prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
• Troubleshoot production equipment to support manufacturing and maintenance operations
• Respond to critical production down situations affecting manufacturing
• Maintain maintenance software database controlling all Preventative and Predictive Maintenance processes on facilities and equipment
• Generate and maintain the PM schedule
• Oversee plant utilities and identify ways to reduce costs
• Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and rules

• Bachelor's degree required
• Recent experience in a Manufacturing plant
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to supervise and motivate employees in a team environment
• Expert working knowledge of all machine components and integration
• Proven mechanical aptitude for analytical problem solving
• Ability to work with engineering and quality teams to address problem areas and implement solutions

• Manufacturing experience preferably in an automotive setting
