Job Description
Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining the operation of machinery and production processes within our manufacturing facility, overseeing general facility upkeep, and performing preventative and reactive maintenance. The position involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, installing upgrades, conducting daily inspections, and ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
Job DetailsBase pay: $24 - $38 per hour, depending on experience
1st shift:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm

Responsibilities- Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and repair or replace faulty hydraulic or pneumatic components, mechanical components including but not limited to bearings, couplings, and combustion components.
- Diagnose and fix electrical issues, including control systems, wiring, and circuit boards.
- Test and troubleshoot production equipment’s operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (P.M.) on plant equipment.
- Perform daily inspections of molding presses, including maintaining oil levels, checking for leaks, monitoring billet heater operation, cutoff saw operation, transfer operation, and stretcher operation.
- Install and modify equipment to improve reliability, simplify operations, and enhance safety.
- Complete all paperwork promptly, including daily work sheets assigning work to appropriate jobs or equipment.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area and assist with general housekeeping of the maintenance area.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Demonstrate skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, cutting with a torch, and welding.
- Comply with and promote all environmental, health & safety programs, laws, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
- Two-year degree in a Mechatronics field preferred or five (5) years relevant experience required.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical prints.
- Excellent attention to detail, advanced troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with teams.
- Autonomy and extensive experience working with engineers and machinists with little supervision.
- Extensive experience in shop math.
- Strong knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Physical demands: regular hand use, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist; specific vision abilities include close vision and depth perception.
