Requirements: Driver's license. Level 2 DCF Background check required.

• Keeps buildings at P.K. Yonge sanitized and in orderly condition.
• Relies predominantly on instructions and pre-established department and CDC guidelines; some independent judgment may be required.
• Works under general supervision. Reports directly to Custodial Supervisor.
• Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash;
  Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment;
  Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clear debris from classrooms, walkways, sidewalks, and entrances;
  Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions;
  Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Assist, as needed, in delivery of shipments throughout campus;
  Monitor, clean and supply assigned work stations, including janitorial closets.
• Move furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events (banquets or meetings).
• Drive vans, industrial trucks, or other vehicles required to travel to or perform facility needs.

Expected Salary: $16/hour

Required: Completion of ninth grade;
Valid Driver's license;
Level 2 DCF Background check required.

Preferred: Previous custodial experience preferred.

Applicants interested in full time work only should apply. This is not a part-time position and hours are not flexible. This is a time-limited position. One day position (7:30am-4:00pm) and one evening position (1:00pm-9:30pm) is needed. Occasional weekend work may be required, based on school needs.
