CUSTODIAL WORKER I

• Cleans and maintains on a daily basis all halls, offices, shops, classrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, labs, gym areas, locker rooms, elevators; sweeping, dusting, dust-mopping, wet mopping, spot-mopping, reconditioning of floors and spot washing and cleaning of walls, doors, and partitions.
• Cleans and maintains all floors and floor coverings; regular duties include vacuuming, shampooing, striping, sealing and waxing.
• Cleans all entrances, entrance walks, steps, patios, and concourses.
• Spot cleans and cleans all exterior and interior glass surfaces of assigned buildings; cleans ceiling lights and Venetian blinds.
• Empties and cleans all waste cans, trashcans, recycle bins, water fountains, and doormats.
• Complete training prescribed by Facilities Services Training and Education Department and the University’s Compliance Training.
• Follow and adhere to all Building Services Standard Operating Procedures, and Facilities Services Policies and Directives.

Normal work schedule: 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM (Monday through Friday). Workdays and shift times may vary in response to customer needs for special event coverage and/or departmental needs. Some overtime may be required.

Total hours per week: 40.
Management retains the right and discretion to modify schedules, building assignments, shifts and/or days for operational purposes.
Position is considered Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy.
Hourly pay: $15.00–$16.82 based on experience and work hours.

• Completion of ninth grade.

• High school diploma and two (2) years of commercial custodial experience.
